Formerly known as Penumbra Brands, Gadget Guard receives national consumer electronics award for Gadget Guard case with alara technology.
In a time when nearly everyone gets a participation medal, it’s nice to be honored with an award that involves a great deal of scrutiny and recognizes a notable achievement. Gadget Guard just received notice of winning a Silver Stevie® from the American Business Awards for our phone case with alara® technology.
The award is being given in the Consumer Electronics category and was one of more than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry that were submitted this year. The company will be recognized at the 18th Annual American Business Awards ceremony on August 5.
The Stevie really recognizes the hard work of our employees. An extraordinary amount of research was done to produce a case with micro-thin antennas that automatically pair with a phone to significantly reduce exposure to cell phone radiation.
Unlike other products on the market, the Gadget Guard case does not shield or block RF. Instead, the case redirects radiation away from the user so the signal isn’t blocked.
The award is also an acknowledgment of the time and money spent by the company with an independent certified lab to determine whether cellphones create risks for consumers and whether our technology actually works.
These tests confirmed iPhone 7 radiation levels are more than 50% over the FCC safety standard, and the iPhone 11 Pro emits more than double the radiation than the FCC standard.
The lab also certified our cases reduce radiation by as much as 75% in situations representing normal phone use. One judge noted there are many similar products in the market with “unverified claims.”
